Our stay was very much a last minute decision on having to change existing plans. The arrangements for the booking were very effective and efficiently carried out by Megan the owner. On arrival we were met by a very efficient local agent and hand-over at both ends of our stay was appropriate and painless. TorreBarolo is an excellent place for two people as a base for local touring and particularly well placed, as you would imagine, for those with a keen interest in wine. The property is in an excellent position in the town of Barolo with magnificent views over the gentle vine covered landscape. An evening drink on the roof terrace is a thing to relish. Being a tower there are stairs to give a little exercise during the stay and on occasion it is necessary to pause to remember whether your destination is up or down - sometimes slightly testing after a glass or two of Barolo! Despite quite high temperatures, even in this unusually inclement august, the Torre was very pleasant with gentle breezes through the many french windows; all of which have interesting views. The kitchen area is modern and has all that is necessary and is well stocked with kit. The property is very clean and appears very recently decorated with considerable care; all furniture, bed etc were good quality. All in all a very special and quite unique holiday property. We enjoyed the area which we would describe as gentle, friendly and good value. Megan's guide in the property is very extensive and we sampled a number of her recommendations; we were not disappointed with any of the enthusiastic suggestions. A very memorable stay and a total immersion in Barolo wine! |

The reason why we planned to include the Piedmont region in our Italy itinerary is because of seeing TorreBarolo on the internet. The views we saw in the photos drew us into emailing Megan about this special place. Megan was so personable & helpful in her communication with us that we felt like we made a reservation at a friend's house! When we drove down the hill into Barolo my mouth was agape & I found myself muttering out loud "It's so beautiful, it's so beautiful!" When I stepped out onto the top terrace of TorreBarolo & saw those same views I had seen on the internet I found myself surprised that it was even much more beautiful than I had imagined! It was so enjoyable to be in a such a wonderful apartment in a tall tower in such a gorgeous setting! Truly memorable! I couldn't recommend it enough. If you stay here your time in the Piedmont will be so much more special! The food & wine in the town of Barolo was magnificent as well as the surrounding area was a pleasure to explore & to just live in the midst of for a week. We soaked in all the peace & quiet & green after being in busy bustling Venice. Stay at TorreBarolo for a week or two and it will be one of the best times you'll ever have! It refreshes the soul & spirit! TorreBarolo was clean, comfortable with terrific views out every window & terrace! What a treat! |

TorreBarolo is such a treasure! Right in the heart of the Langhe this place offered spectacular views, great service and amenities and very close proximity to some of the best wineries in the world. The check in and out process were seamless and there was always someone available to help if there were any questions. Eating up in the terrace with at sunset is a truly amazing experience. I would recommend it to anyone! |

We absolutely loved our stay @ Torrebarolo right in the heart of the village of Barolo right in the heart of the most stunning wine region in the world . We also fluked their annual festival which was fun. We were there for the Barolo and Barberesco wines which exceeded our expectations. Drinking them every night at the top of the tower was a memorable highlight. Megan is to be complimented on the thoroughness of the information and the quality of TorreBarolo. |

My husband and I had a wonderful trip to Barolo staying at TorreBarolo in the center of town. Megan (the owner) provided so much advance information that we could not do it all. Her recommendations and advise really did so much to enhance our first visit to this part of Italy. As good as the photos are on the website, the reality is even better. Superb views and the apartment is well equipped. Cannot recommend it too highly. We will certainly be making a return visit. |

TorreBarolo is a great venue for basing yourself and visiting the surrounding areas. Barolo is definitely one of the most unique of the local towns, and it's relatively small size means less traffic and chaos. Hands-down, the best part about the Tower is the rooftop deck. Even in muggy august, there is a nice breeze and very comfortable seating for you to enjoy a great book, lunch, or dinner. |

The location in the middle of town and the roof terrace overlooking all of Barolo and its surroundings allmost makes you feel sorry to leave on hikes or trips. The living area shows larger on photograhps (also on our own) than it actually is, but it's large enough for two people. On warm sunny days (as we were lucky enough to have during all of our stay) the living room would benefit from some sort of blinds or shutters because it heats up very quickly with all the large windows (30+ after being away for a couple of hours) but the ever-present breeze helps to cool it down once you open up again. Very nice hikes to surrounding towns through the vineyards (extremely well signposted for Italian standards) starting at the doorstep. The restaurants in and around town are so nice, plentiful and good value that we never bothered to cook. All in all a very pleasant stay. |

TorreBarolo is a flat with a marvellous view in the little village of Barolo, and is ideally suited as a base for exploring the local area. Megan's recommendations for day outings and restaurants were superb - a pity that we couldn't stay longer to sample them all. The only hardship, if one can call it that, are the stairs...many stairs, so this accommodation is for the fit and active. The kitchen is small, but that doesn't matter as it would be a sin to not be eating out predominantly. |

The tower is in the middle of the beautiful village of Barolo. It gives you a welcoming and comfortable feel while experiencing Italian living. The unique asset of the tower is the stunning view over Barolo and its vineyard hills. Enjoying a glass of Barolo on the tower roof during sunset is amazing. If I wouldn't have been engaged already that is the place to do it. |

TorreBarolo is a charming apartment in the tallest residential building in Barolo. It has an amazing rooftop patio with wonderful views. It was incredibly hot in Piedmont when we were there, so we didn't use the rooftop as much as we wanted, but in cooler weather we would have been out there all the time. As it is, the accommodations are very comfortable and incredibly convenient to all of the Piedmont. Going North to alba or asti or south to the alta Langhe was equally convenient. There are a bunch of nice restaurants in town if you don't want to drive for dinner, and the cafe at the top of Barolo was great for morning pastry and cappucino.Check-in and check-out were painless, as the owner has several competent caretakers who live in the area and who made things very easy. If you want to explore the Piedmont and don't want the typical hotel experience, TorreBarolo is a great option, and we highly recommend it. |

A marvelous place for people, they want to relax and have a slow holiday. A wonderful roundview over the vinyards and Barolo. You feel like a castle owner without a castle, only a tower ;-)). The food, the people and last but not least the wine all are faboulos. The tower was our basic camp for many trips around Barolo and also Turino. We recommend the tower to all people who like to enjoy something (food, wine, landscape). Certain, we will come back. |

We had a great week in the tower. We made very long walks in the Langhe through the vineyards and the little villages around Barolo. Excellent maps for walking trails in the region are for sale in the Barolo museum, 2 minutes walk from the tower. We found the local people very friendly and hospitable. The tower is very well furnished, has spectacular views and is centrally located. Highly recommended. |

TorreBarolo is a unique accommodation in the center of a small wine town with several restaurants. The apartment kitchen and living area is small but augmented by a side terrace and rooftop terrace that would make it nicer in good weather. (Unfortunately because of the weather we were unable to enjoy the outdoor areas.) The views and rooftop terrace are great features. A downside is the many steps between the living area and bathroom/bedroom. I was impressed that we got an immediate response/solution when we had a problem with the heat (by emailing the owner n the computer with free internet that she provides). |

I would be comfortable recommending the tower in Barolo to anyone. While being a really interesting old building, it is lovely and comfortable; an easy place to sit around and relax. The kitchen is well equipped and I took advantage of this. The views are spectacular, not only from the roof top but from the rest of the rooms as well, and the beds are very comfortable. On top of this, Megan, the owner, was incredibly helpful finding information for us about everything we were interested in and Simona, the caretaker, bent over backwards to be sure we had what we needed once we arrived. It exceeded my expectations in every way. |

We loved staying at Torre Barolo. The accommodations are chic hotel quality, but with privacy of a small villa. The beds are super comfortable. The views from the roof terrace are even more breath taking with a glass of Barolo wine. The area has lots to offer including amazing Italian food and wine and lots of food shopping (including very yummy truffles). I highly recommend this cosy Italian getaway. I certainly am looking forward to going back for another truffles season. |

I emailed with the owner prior to my visit, and received great dining and wine tasting recommendations. The tower itself is lovely. The beds are extremely comfortable, the living space is stylish, and the roof deck is perfect for enjoying a glass of wine while taking in the view of the gorgeous vineyards as far as the eye can see. I was pleasantly surprised, and would highly recommend TorreBarolo. |

Great property - stylish and very comfortable. I've stayed here a few times and keep coming back. The views are fantastic from every room and the roof terrace is the perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine after a long day exploring the area (views are even better in person!). The property is well equiped and feels very luxurious. It's very good value for the area and there's lots to do within a short distance... great restaurants, wine tasting, hiking, golfing and shopping in Alba. |
